VOLUNTEER IMPACT

Many of the volunteer opportunities presented here are an expansion on ways to make a difference in 15 minutes. Greater impact is possible when you are able to dedicate a few hours to volunteering, because that allows enough time:
  • to become part of a larger, coordinated effort or...
  • to lead others, by rallying volunteer participation among fellow co-workers, students, club members, church members, or teammates.

For instance, rather than just donate your own out-of-prescription eyeglasses (which is a noble activity in its own right), you could spend just a little more time to organize an eyeglasses collection drive, which could easily collect enough eyeglasses to provide better vision to 30 children and adults in low income communities.

Whether you can volunteer a few hours per week, or just this week, there's a lot you can do to make a difference.
