PICK A SHOPPING PORTAL THAT DONATES A PORTION OF PURCHASES TO CHARITYby
Michael Organ
Via Charity Shopping Portals, many of the internet's best known stores are willing to donate a portion of their sales to charity. This is a win-win-win situation:
Generally, lesser known internet stores are willing to donate a higher portion of their sales (up to 15%) than the portion of sales (up to 5%) donated by better known internet stores. However, there are exceptions. For instance, Amazon.com is willing to donate up to 30% of its sales revenues for higher margin or promotional items. Here's the small catch: In order for a portion of your purchases to be donated to charity, you cannot surf directly to the internet store. Instead, you must click through a charity shopping portal. Fortunately, this takes only a few seconds, once an account is set-up. Invest a few minutes to set-up an account at a charity shopping portal and to choose the charity that will receive a portion of each purchase you make when clicking through that shopping portal. Leading Charity portals include GreaterGood.com and iGive.com. |
